2018 BallenIsles Junior Cup Showcases Golf’s Next Generation

The storied golf courses at BallenIsles Country Club, where many golf legends originally qualified for the PGA Tour played host to golf’s next generation of male and female rising stars during the 2018 BallenIsles Junior Cup.

BallenIsles historic championship East Course, where legendary players like Jack Nicklaus, Julius Boros and Sam Snead won PGA Championships, was the fitting setting on August 4 – 5, 2018 for the Ryder Cup format tournament.

28 accomplished, local junior golfers competed during the invitation-only event, which also attracted local TV network affiliate coverage.

“We’re very grateful to our sponsors Cleveland Golf and Srixon for helping us roll out the red carpet again on a superb event for these accomplished Junior Golfers,” said Jeff Fitzherbert, BallenIsles Director of Golf.

A demo day with Cleveland Golf and Srixon presented the juniors with an opportunity to try the latest in golf equipment, while a pairings party determined an “East” and “West” team.
