Further Expanding Troon Golf's Presence in the Caribbean

Scottsdale, Ariz. - Troon Golf,® the leader in upscale golf course management, development and marketing is pleased to announce its expansion in the Caribbean with the agreement to manage Salt Cay Resort & Golf Club on the North Shore of Salt Cay, located on the eastern end of the Turks and Caicos Islands.

Salt Cay, once home to a thriving community of salt traders, is a small triangular island about 500 miles southeast of Miami. After the demise of the salt industry in the 1960s, time seemingly came to a halt on the island, preserving an old-fashioned way of life. Today the island offers a friendly, laid-back atmosphere that welcomes those searching for rest and relaxation. Salt Cay now thrives on tourism, offering uncrowded beaches and an environment untouched by the hands of time.

Scheduled for completion in the summer of 2009, Salt Cay Resort & Golf Club will be developed across 180 acres of the unspoiled island and will feature an Arthur Hills/Steve Forest designed 18-hole championship golf course. Plans for a luxurious, 120-room resort include upscale dining venues, a rejuvenating spa facility and private estate residences. The property offers impressive panoramic views of the ocean, framed by rolling terrain and white beaches that encompass the island.

"This is an exciting development set in an extremely unique destination," stated Hud Hinton, president and COO, Troon Golf. "We look forward to delivering the Troon Golf Experience at Salt Cay Resort & Golf Club."
