Perry Leslie Offers "Local Knowledge" As Director Of Golf

BRANSON, MO - Troon Golf, America's leading golf management, development and marketing company, recently announced the appointment of Steve Shields as General Manager of Branson Creek Golf Club, the first high-end daily-fee golf facility to open in the popular live entertainment capital of the Midwest.

Mr. Shields makes the move from Padre Island, Texas, where he served in a similar capacity with Club Corporation of America. His knowledge and experience ensure that every guest of Branson Creek Golf Club will enjoy Troon Golf's renowned high standards for product and service.

"I am very excited by this new opportunity to work with Troon Golf and this spectacular new facility in Branson," said Shields. "I am originally from Iowa, and it is a welcome move back to the Midwest."

After serving as interim General Manager, Perry Leslie, an accomplished golf professional in the southwest Missouri area, assumes the duties of Director of Golf at Branson Creek. "This position was meant for me," said Leslie. "I can extend my knowledge of the area to our visiting guests of Branson Creek and, at the same time, lend a local presence to the residents."

Monte Schisler remains at Branson Creek Golf Club as Tournament Coordinator. Schisler's responsibilities include "start to finish" coordination for corporate outings and group events of every size. "Now that golfers can enjoy everything that has made Branson famous and still work in a round of golf, we are thrilled to offer the Troon Golf Experience as part of their visit." said Schisler. "Group outings and gatherings of family and friends take on special meaning in the natural beauty at Branson Creek Golf Club."

Acquisitions of new properties led to the move of several Troon Golf management professionals across the country. Former Director of Golf, Tony Gill, moves from Branson Creek to Eagle Ridge Inn & Resort as Head Golf Professional of the North Course. Eagle Ridge features four courses in a resort setting in Galena, Illinois.

In September, Gill will move on to The Quarry Golf Club in Palm Springs, California, a facility also owned by Bill Morrow, managing partner of Branson Creek. Cody Lack moves from Branson Creek to Windrose Golf Club, a Troon Golf facility near Houston, Texas, to assume duties as Assistant Golf Professional.

"As Troon Golf continues to expand its management and development operations, we are fortunate to be able to rely on the dynamic individuals who have chosen to work for this company," said Troon Golf Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Dana Garmany. "We are extremely grateful to fill new positions at Troon Golf facilities from within our own tremendously talented ranks. Our vision of the ultimate ‘Troon Golf Experience' at each of our facilities is simply not possible without their qualifications and experience."

Based in Scottsdale, Arizona, Troon Golf manages over 60 golf courses in 13 states and 7 countries. Troon Golf facilities include Turnberry Hotel, Golf Courses & Spa, A Westin Resort, Ayrshire, Scotland; Troon North Golf Club, Scottsdale, Arizona; The Ridge at Castle Pines North, Castle Rock, Colorado; Eagle Ridge Inn & Resort, Galena, Illinois; and The Westin Innisbrook Resort, Tampa Bay, Florida.
