Quintero Golf & Country Club Stands Among America's Best 100 Modern Courses

Scottsdale, Ariz. - Golfweek has unveiled its eighth annual survey of America's Best Golf Courses for 2004. Troon Golf®, the world leader in luxury golf management, development, and marketing is pleased to announce Quintero Golf & Country Club in Peoria, Arizona is again honored as one of America's Best 100 Modern Golf Courses (post 1960). This Rees Jones designed course takes its position at No. 48.

Selecting from 2000 nominations, a nationwide team of evaluators used ten specific criteria to rank the Top 100 courses with regard to their respective era, which distinguishes Golfweek's America's Best from rankings by other leading publications.

The criterion also reflects the discerning standards that characterize the heralded TROON GOLF EXPERIENCE™. Such qualities as natural setting and overall layout, variety and memorability of the golf holes, and course conditioning certainly define Troon Golf's more discriminate level of play. Troon Golf-managed facilities also score high in Golfweek's "Walk in the Park" test, which takes into account "the degree to which the golf course is ultimately worth spending a half-day as a compelling outdoor experience."

In state-by-state consideration, Golfweek recognized an additional 16 Troon Golf-managed daily-fee and resort facilities in nine states. Branson Creek Golf Club remains Missouri's number one course, as does Old Works in Montana. New courses to the rankings this year include The Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa, Ridge/Canyon course and The Lodge at Ventana Canyon, Canyon course, Tucson; Estrella Mountain Ranch Golf Club, Goodyear, Arizona; and The Glacier Club (formerly Tamarron) in Durango, Colorado.
