Scottsdale, Ariz. - Troon Golf, ® the leader in upscale golf course management, development and marketing is pleased to announce that Ken Kosak has been named general manager of Pearl Valley Golf Estate & Spa in South Africa. Pearl Valley's Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course is ranked number six on Golf Digest's list of "South Africa's 100 Greatest Courses" and will soon host The South African Open for the first time. Known as the second oldest national Open in golf, the tournament will welcome Ernie Els in December 2007 when he attempts to defend his title.

Most recently, Kosak was the general manager of The Montgomerie Dubai located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, known as Troon Golf's flagship in Europe and the Middle East. Under his leadership, the facility was named the "Troon Golf Facility of the Year" in 2006 and was a World Travel Award recipient for being the "Best Golf Resort" in Dubai. Kosak also served as director of club operations for Troon Golf at an award winning golf resort in Puerto Rico. A native of Pinehurst, N.C., a region steeped in golf history, he was one of the first graduates of the PGA of America's Golf Professional Training Program and has over a decade of golf club managerial experience in operations, food & beverage service, accounting, restructuring and sales & marketing.
