Scottsdale, Ariz. - Troon Golf,® the leader in upscale golf course management, development and marketing is pleased to announce Craig Luckey as the new general manager at Little River Golf & Resort, located in the Sandhills golf region of North Carolina.

Luckey brings valued knowledge to Little River from a highly esteemed career in the golf industry that includes nearly 14 years of experience at Troon Golf-managed facilities. Most recently, Luckey was the director of golf at The Club at Savannah Harbor in Savannah, Ga., named the 2007 Troon Golf "Facility of the Year." The course is also the host-site of the PGA Tour's Champions Tour Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf event. Luckey's experience also includes past leadership roles at Monarch Beach Golf Links and The Westin Mission Hills Resort & Spa, both located in California.

Little River Golf & Resort is part of a planned community that was recently purchased by Oceânico Group USA Inc., a subsidiary of Oceânico Group, which is the leading developer of golf and leisure resorts in Portugal, where it is headquartered. Known as a world-class golf facility, Little River is ranked among North Carolina's "TOP 100 GOLF COURSES," by the North Carolina Golf Panel. Set among 450 acres of rolling hills and featuring elevation changes of nearly 200 feet, the 18-hole course meanders along narrow rivers and tree-lined fairways. Little River was designed by course architect Dan Maples in 1996, who was born just miles from the Little River Resort. Maples' personal interest brought a dedication to the course that no other architect could offer.
