NEW APPOINTMENTS HELP TROON GOLF’S FORWARD DRIVE IN 2003

Scottsdale, Ariz. – Troon Golf,® the world leader in luxury golf management, development and marketing, continues to move ahead by announcing the recent appointments of key associates at Troon Golf facilities in California, Idaho, Arizona, Nevada and Colorado. The company continues its commitment to assemble the best people to serve Troon Golf’s clients and partners, and to create unmatched experiences for golfers worldwide.

Formerly at Maderas Golf Club in Poway, Calif., Troon Golf Area Managing Director, Ken Halligan, moves to The Crosby National Golf Club in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif. as general manager. From his new position, Halligan will take a more active role in private clubs including new responsibilities at Crosby National, as well as oversee operations for the Anthem Country Clubs in Henderson, Nev., and Phoenix, Ariz.

William “Bill” Crist takes Halligan’s place at Maderas as general manager. A veteran golf professional with over 20 years experience, Crist makes the move to Troon Golf from his previous position with the Four Seasons Resort Aviara, Carlsbad, Calif. Featuring a magnificent golf course by Johnny Miller and Robert Muir Graves, Maderas is the premier upscale public golf facility in the San Diego area.

At the Whitetail Club in McCall, Idaho, Kenn Stoner is on board as director of sales & marketing. He moves from Sunriver Resort, Sunriver, Ore., where he served as director of national accounts. Stoner enjoys a proven track record in diverse roles within the hospitality industry, and will be instrumental in attracting resort guests and prospective members to this stunning lodge and golf facility built on Idaho’s popular Payette Lake, 100 miles north of Boise.

Troon North Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz., welcomes Scott Nair as the director of agronomy. Scott’s well-balanced career path has involved all areas of agronomy from building a course to day-to-day agronomic operations. Scott recently comes from Eagle Ridge Inn & Resort in Galena, Ill. As Director of Agronomy, Scott will oversee and manage the golf course maintenance operation at Troon North as well as fulfill a larger role as senior agronomist, overseeing several other properties within the Troon Golf portfolio.

Troon North also has promoted Cameron Ellis to director of sales. The newly created position will focus solely on driving business to the renowned facility and delivering the TROON GOLF EXPERIENCE to customers worldwide. Cameron was recently the group sales manager for several facilities in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area.

Troon Golf’s newest daily-fee facility, Sierra Nevada Golf Ranch, outside of Reno welcomes Bob Hickam as general manager of the Johnny Miller/John Harbottle championship golf course set in the high desert ranchland. Bob transfers from Troon’s Newport National Golf Club in Newport R.I.

Darrell Fuston begins his Troon Golf career as the new general manager at The Ridge at Castle Pines North in Castle Rock, Colo. Darrell has spent the last 12 years in the Four Seasons Hotel circuit, at such properties as Aviara and Las Colinas and most recently at Seven Canyons resort in Sedona, Arizona. His experience and knowledge at revered facilities will help maintain The Ridge as one of Colorado’s top golf courses.
