Company Adds Eleven Facilities in First Three Months

Scottsdale, Arizona - At Troon Golf's 2001 Annual Meeting, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Dana Garmany, delivered this message, "Troon Golf's future growth is tied to the successful operating results achieved by our managers. We are dependent on these managers to continue to deliver an exceptional experience, along with exceptional financial results."

His comments proved to be true as the recent decline of America's economic markets have had little affect on Troon Golf, the world leader in upscale golf course management, development and marketing. With a greater emphasis on promoting the array of services Troon Golf offers, the company has added eleven new facilities in the first three months of 2001. The properties include a mix of existing courses, new developments, as well as daily fee and private facilities. In North America, seven golf courses have been added in the United States, one in Canada, and one in Mexico. In Australasia, Troon Golf added its first golf course in Japan and another course in Australia bringing its total to six in that country.

"The dedication of Troon Golf associates worldwide has caused owners to seek out the services of our company," Garmany stated. "Our success is a tribute to each one of them."

The new properties include:

Whitney Oaks Golf Club, Rocklin, CA - Located just north of Sacramento, this Johnny Miller design is a combination of rolling hills and natural wetlands that blend with the live oak forests in this picturesque region of northern California. Miller's captivating layout is easily one of the most spectacular golf challenges in the Sacramento area.

LochenHeath Golf Club, Traverse City, MI - Florida-based golf course architect Steve Smyers designed the LochenHeath golf course as a sleek and dramatic complement to the rolling topography of the area. Situated in a former cherry orchard along a ridge with the bay in view from 16 holes, as well as boldly sculpted bunkers and native grasses offer visual accents that make every hole memorable.

Centennial Golf Club, Minneapolis, MN - The owners describe the spectacular Nicklaus design as "a golf course waiting to happen." Scheduled to open in 2002, dramatic elevation changes add beauty and challenge to the layout that stretches through mature forests and natural rolling terrain including a creek and two lakes that come into play on nearly every hole.

The Sienna Club at Rose Ranch, Glenwood Springs, CO - This Art Hills design is under construction near the resort town of Aspen and scheduled to open in 2002. The views of the Rocky Mountains surround the golf course that is situated on the infamous Roaring Fork River.

Black Creek Club, Chattanooga, TN - Black Creek Club is designed by Brian Silva and represents vintage style golf by using techniques from the likes of Seth Raynor and Charles Blair Macdonald. This private facility offers a challenging yet rewarding design whose features range from deep bunkers surrounding the greens, to blind shots and large green complexes. The fairways pose a challenge unfamiliar to the modern day "grip-it-and-rip-it" golfer in that choices need to be made to avoid the strategically placed deep-faced fairway bunkers. The Black Creek, for which the course is named, comes into play on holes #9 and #18.

Vista Ridge Golf Club, Erie, CO - A Jay Morrish-Redstone Design, the public golf course is set on 232 acres and features dramatic shifts in elevation and majestic views of Colorado's Front Range. The first several holes play west towards the Colorado Rocky Mountains, offering commanding views of Long's Peak, the familiar backdrop in the Boulder area. This course is under development and scheduled to open in the summer of 2002.

Northern Bear Golf Club, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada - This course is in the development stage and is slated as a Jack Nicklaus Signature Design. Nicklaus was particularly careful to allow his design to coexist in the natural setting. Holes #9 and #18 require accuracy to stay clear of the water hazard, setting up dramatic challenges and scenic views with the clubhouse as a backdrop.

Paradise Village Beach Resort & Spa, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - A golf course will be an added amenity to the resort community. The Paradise Village golf course is now under construction on a 12-acre peninsula overlooking Banderas Bay and the Paradise Village Marina adjacent to the magnificent Pacific Ocean. Robert von Hagge's spectacular layout captures the coastal, tropical flavor with palm tree-lined fairways and abundant water features.

Oak Village Golf Club, Chiba, Japan - Troon Golf's first contract in Japan is Oak Village Golf Club that offers a highly imaginative golf experience with a "storybook English" flavor by none other than Desmond Muirhead. Open since 1994, the 7,093-yard layout features holes with such names as Dragon and The White Cliffs of Dover.

Huntingdale Golf Club, Melbourne, Australia - Built in 1941 along Melbourne's famous Sandbelt and now the host of the Ericsson Australian Masters Tournament, Huntingdale is one of the country's most renowned and most exclusive golf clubs. Over the last two years, the five closing holes have undergone a major renovation to improve the drainage. The alterations also included the addition of several new bunkers and reconstructed greens to offer a greater challenge to the members and to the Ericsson Masters competitors.

Manchester Golf Club at Payette Lake, McCall, Idaho - The course is under construction and is a Rodger Packard/Andy North design. Set in the beautiful mountains of Idaho and on the shores of Payette Lake, this resort community in Idaho is best described as one of the great and undiscovered resort areas in the country.

Based in Scottsdale, Arizona, Troon Golf represents over 80 management and development contracts in 17 American states and nine countries. Troon Golf properties include Turnberry Hotel, Golf Courses & Spa, Ayrshire, A Westin Resort, Scotland; Troon North Golf Club, Scottsdale, Arizona; Ocean Club, Paradise Island, Bahamas; The Westin La Cantera Resort, San Antonio, Texas; and Cabo del Sol, Los Cabos, Mexico.
