RENOVATION ON TROON NORTH MONUMENT COMPLETE

Scottsdale, Arizona – Troon Golf,® the world’s leading luxury golf management, development and marketing company, is pleased to announce the completion of the newly renovated greens at the Monument Course at Troon North Golf Club. The modest improvements continue to ensure Troon North’s place among America’s preeminent golf courses.

Tom Weiskopf, who originally designed the course with Jay Morrish, returned over the summer to restore the greens to their original specifications, and make only a few additional modifications to the flagship property that launched the celebrated TROON GOLF EXPERIENCEsm more than 12 years ago.

“With the exception of the 14th green which was enlarged, the idea was to restore the design and playability as closely as possible to the original,” stated Troon North General Manager Jack Elliott. “Our objective was to maintain the world-class layout while simply updating surfaces and features.”

“We resurfaced the greens with pennlinks bentgrass, and reestablished the original design concepts to allow guests to experience the Monument as it was originally intended,” said Troon Golf Senior Vice President, Science & Agronomy, Jeff Spangler. “The only major alteration was to widen the long narrow green on Number 14 to provide additional pin placements behind the intimidating front green-side bunker.”

The clearly defined Troon Golf brand ensures a successful operation for the company’s partners and clients, as well as an extraordinary club experience for every member and guest. Troon Golf’s superior agronomic practices equate to championship-caliber golf at many of the world’s finest golf clubs and resorts.
