Ausgolf Recognizes Australian Facilities in "Top 20 Public Access Golf Courses"

Brisbane, Australia - Troon Golf created history in Australia by having its three (3) operational daily fee facilities ranked in the "Top 20 Public Access Golf Courses" by Ausgolf Magazine (released November 1, 2001). The publication recognized The Golf Club Kennedy Bay (6th) in Perth and Glades Golf Club (8th) and Pelican Waters Golf Club (19th) in Queensland were the only three (3) golf courses in Australia to be ranked in the Top 20 in their debut year of operation.

Ausgolf goes on to say "Possibly the most visible corporate presence is Troon Golf. Priding themselves on an association with some of the most famous courses in the world, Troon now manages several of the highest-ranked public access courses in Australia. Troon seeks to create an extraordinary experience by providing superior service and playing surfaces…".

Troon Golf's Australia Division Senior Vice President, Bruce Glasco, was delighted when he was informed about the latest rankings. "These rankings reflect our commitment to provide the Australian golfing public with some of the most memorable golfing experiences in the Southern Hemisphere - we will work tirelessly with each of our facilities to improve their individual rankings and continue to provide golfers of all abilities the opportunity to play some of the finest courses available."

Showing its flexible approach to golf management, Troon Golf took over the golf operations at Huntingdale Golf Club in Melbourne's famed sandbelt in July of this year. Home of the "Australian Masters", Huntingdale (ranked 16th best golf course in Australia) is a private member's club shrouded in tradition. Troon Golf was chosen to manage Huntingdale because of its commitment to providing a superior level of service for all members. Troon Golf made its presence felt immediately by completely renovating the golf shop for the members and providing them for the first time with a Members Lounge, computerized swing analysis, a huge variety of merchandise and an interactive members computer.

Troon Golf is proud to be associated with six of the most prestigious courses in Australia including, Brookwater Golf Club in Brisbane, The Glades Golf Club and Pelican Waters Golf Club in Queensland, Huntingdale Golf Club in Victoria, The Golf Club at Kennedy Bay in Perth, and The Vintage Golf Club in New South Wales.

Based in Scottsdale, Arizona, Troon Golf represents nearly 95 management and development contracts in 19 states and nine countries. Troon Golf properties include venues such as The Westin Turnberry Resort, Ayrshire, Scotland; Troon North Golf Club, Scottsdale, Arizona; Robinson Ranch, Santa Clarita, California; and Cabo del Sol, Los Cabos, Mexico.
