TROON GOLF ANNOUNCES THE 2003 TROON CHALLENGE

Scottsdale, Ariz. – Playing on perfectly maintained fairways at a Troon Golf® facility is always a thrill, but competing on them is an even greater experience. Now, Troon Golf, the world leader in luxury golf management, invites all golfers throughout Arizona, California and northern Nevada to muster their A- game and test their skills in the 2003 TROON CHALLENGE.

“Don’t miss your chance to play in one of the country’s premier amateur golf events,” advises Kris Strauss, Troon Golf Sales & Marketing Manager and 2003 Troon Challenge Director. “The Troon Challenge is being contested over several of the finest golf facilities throughout the western United States.”

Participants will participate in individual events for a chance to qualify for one of three regional events in Arizona, Southern California, and Northern California and Nevada. The 2003 Troon Challenge qualifying events run from May through September, with an entry fee of $125 per person (Troon Twosome Cardholders pay only $100 per person) per event. Entry includes green fee, cart, prize fund, practice balls prior to play, and tournament awards reception.

The regional events will be held at Legend Trail Golf Club, Scottsdale, Ariz., Eagle Glen Golf Club in Corona, Calif., and Whitney Oaks Golf Club in Rocklin, Calif. The low gross and low net teams from the regional events will advance to the National Finals at The Westin Mission Hills Resort in Rancho Mirage, Calif. on December 6-7. Regional Champions who have qualified for the Finals receive: roundtrip airfare,* two nights lodging, a practice round & two championship rounds. No additional entry fee is required of teams qualifying for the Troon Challenge National Finals!
