Stonequarry is a New Premier Resort Experience Near Sydney

March 27, 2003, Scottsdale, AZ - One hour from Sydney, Australia, in the Shire of Wollondilly, known as the "Home of the White Waratah," Stonequarry promises beauty as rare and esteemed as this beloved native Australian flower. Troon Golf,® the world leader in luxury golf management, development and marketing, is partnering with one of Sydney's leading developers, Bradcorp, to oversee golf operations and share in the vision of this very unique village resort development.

Seven years in development as the first luxury resort village in the greater-Sydney area, Stonequarry will offer a world-class hotel and spa, an immaculate championship golf course, and superb residential options to include apartments, villas and a limited number of custom homesites.

"We developed Stonequarry in recognition of the fact that until now, Sydney has lacked the world class resort facilities within easy access that other major Australian cities enjoy," stated Bradcorp Chief Executive Officer, Peter Brennen. "Our vision for Stonequarry has been to create a sanctuary from the demands of hectic city lifestyle, offering the highest level of resort amenities and services."

To bring their vision to fruition, Bradcorp appointed only the best and most renowned architects, builders, and managers to plan and construct each phase of the development. Understanding the importance of a superlative golf facility, Troon Golf was one of the company's first appointments.

Verdant hillsides and rolling pastureland set the stage for the beauty and challenge of golf at Stonequarry. Further accents and points of interest include a number of rock causeways and outcroppings etched with ancient aboriginal markings. The more recent Heritage Railway will also feature in the design, as steam engines from the Rail Transport Museum in Thirlmere will come and go from a new station constructed in Stonequarry.

"The TROON GOLF EXPERIENCEsm at Stonequarry will appeal to those who crave Sydney's big city excitement and sophistication, but are also seeking a special place to relax, unwind and enjoy the game in a refined atmosphere," stated Bruce Glasco, Troon Golf Senior Vice President, Operations, Australia/Pacific Division. "Troon Golf is thrilled to offer Stonequarry residents and guests a new premiere golf club experience with championship playing conditions and quality maintenance practices."

Headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, Troon Golf manages operations at more than 140 clubs located in 25 states and 11 countries.
