TROON GOLF CONTRACTED To MANAGE CENTENNIAL GOLF CLUB

Scottsdale, Arizona – Minnesota real estate developers, Brian and Linda Gensmer have contracted Troon Golf to manage their newest golf course development, Centennial Golf Club. The project is currently under construction and located in Greenfield, Minnesota, northwest of Minneapolis.

Centennial Golf Club will be the first Nicklaus Design golf course in Minnesota available to the public and marks Troon Golf’s introduction into the Minnesota market. The Gensmers collaborated previously with Nicklaus Design Company to build Minnesota’s first Jack Nicklaus Signature course, Bearpath Golf and Country Club, an exclusive golf community in Eden Prairie.

“Our first golf development was so successful as a private facility, we invited Nicklaus Design to build a top quality golf course for public golfers,” says Brian Gensmer. “We are confident that with the experience, high standards, diligent management practices, and superior guest services that Troon Golf provides, Centennial Golf Club will quickly rank among the state’s top upscale daily-fee golf courses.”

The owners describe the spectacular 400-acre site as ” a golf course waiting to happen.” Scheduled to open in 2002, the layout stretches through mature forests in natural rolling terrain including a creek and two lakes that come into play on nearly every hole. Dramatic elevation changes add further beauty and challenge to the Centennial golf course as holes #1 and #10 play from tees set 40 feet above the fairways.

The development also includes of a limited number of 2.5-acre residential home sites that surround the golf course. Centennial Golf Club will operate on a semi-private basis, offering resident memberships and a full slate of amenities.

“Soon members and daily-fee guests in the Minneapolis area will enjoy the same extraordinary experiences that Troon Golf creates,” said Dana Garmany, Troon Golf Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “We are proud to partner with the Gensmers and greatly appreciate the opportunity to manage this exceptional golf course development project. The “Troon Golf Experience” fits perfectly with the business philosophy that has brought success to the Gensmers.”
