TROON GOLF COURSES HOST THE PROFESSIONAL TOURS WORLDWIDE

Scottsdale, Arizona – The championship playing conditions that are standard at every Troon Golf®-managed facility have attracted the attention of the PGA, European PGA, and LPGA Tours, impressed by the championship course conditions, leaving little left to do to prepare the golf course for professional-level competition.

“It’s an honor to play host to these prestigious tournaments,” stated Troon Golf President and Chief Operating Officer, Hud Hinton. “There’s a special thrill for viewers and spectators to watch the pros battle it out on courses they’ve played themselves.”

The following professional golf tour events will be held at Troon Golf-managed facilities in 2003:

APRIL 24 – 27
Champions Tour Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf
The Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa,
 Savannah, Georgia
First played in 1978 as the Legends of Golf, the Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf launched the Senior PGA Tour in 1980. The special ambience of the Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa will provide a memorable experience for the players.

JULY 23 – 27
The Senior British Open
The Westin Turnberry Resort,
 Ayrshire, Scotland
Part of the European Senior Tour since 1987, the Senior British Open welcomes the Champions Tour to Scotland for one of its five majors of the year.

JULY 28 – AUG 3
The Nationwide Tour Chattanooga Classic
Black Creek Club,
 Chattanooga, Tennessee
In a growing city with the financial support and spirit that will allow the tournament to succeed, the Nationwide Tour debuts in Chattanooga at the Black Creek Club, a Brian Silva-design that plays to a par-72 and over 7,000 yards.

SEPT 22 – 28
Valero Texas Open
The Westin La Cantera Resort,
 San Antonio, Texas
The former design team of Tom Weiskopf-Jay Morrish, who created the No. 1 Favorite Public Golf Course in Texas, blended traditional concepts perfectly with the Texas Hill Country terrain, and complementing the area’s renowned natural limestone features.

OCT 6 – 12
Nationwide Tour Gila River Classic at Whirlwind
Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort & Spa,
 Phoenix, Arizona
From the golf course rooted in the arts and traditions of the Gila River Indian Community, Whirlwind Golf Club, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Phoenix, and the Gila River Indian Community welcome the Nationwide Tour to the new 500-room Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort & Spa.

OCT 27 – NOV 2
Chrysler Championship
The Westin Innsibrook Resort,
 Tampa Bay, Florida
The Chrysler Championship is the last full field event on the PGA TOUR in 2003, and will be staged on the Resort’s formidable and newly renovated Copperhead Course, ranked in “America’s Top Resort Courses” by Golf Digest Magazine.

NOV 20 – 23
The Dunlop Phoenix Tournament
Phoenix Country Club,
 Miyazaki, Japan
Phoenix Country Club features three nine-hole layouts surrounded by an ancient black pine forest, planted over 200 years ago – a perfect backdrop to this time-honored event on the Japanese PGA Tour.

The MasterCard Masters
Huntingdale Golf Club,
 Victoria, Australia
