Course Reminiscent of Classic Architect Design Styles

Scottsdale, Arizona - Troon Golf, the world leader in upscale golf course management, has announced the Black Creek Club, located in Chattanooga, Tennessee, as its most recent addition to its growing portfolio of managed properties.

Designed by "1999 Golf World Architect of the Year", Brian Silva, Black Creek shows strong evidence of the influence of Charles Blair Macdonald and Seth Raynor as the course repeats such classic golf holes as - Redan, Cape, Short and Punch-Bowl, which were signatures of those classic design styles. "In creating this challenging masterpiece it was essential that we offer our members the best golf experience each time they play," said Doug Stein, Black Creek Founder. "We are very excited to have affiliated with Troon Golf. Because of their broad experience, the people at Troon understand a course like Black Creek and have what it takes to deliver on the design's promise. They have proven their ability to provide only the highest quality in member services and agronomic practices."

Black Creek Club is a challenging yet rewarding design whose features recall the classic courses of Scotland and Ireland as well as the United States. Its features range from steep faced bunkers surrounding the greens, to blind shots and large green complexes more common on older courses, but at a length respecting the modern game. The broad fairways pose a challenge unfamiliar to the modern day "grip-it-and-rip-it" golfer in that choices need to be made to avoid the randomly placed deep-faced fairway bunkers. Black Creek, for which the course is named, comes strategically into play on holes #9 and #18.

"We are thrilled to have this very distinct golf course become part of our portfolio," said Dana Garmany, Troon Golf Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "Our superior maintenance practices and uncompromising levels of service guarantee the members of Black Creek Club an unmatched golf experience."

Based in Scottsdale, Arizona, Troon Golf represents over 80 golf courses located in 17 American states and nine countries. Its list of outstanding properties include such notables as Turnberry Hotel, Golf Courses & Spa, Ayrshire, Scotland; Troon North Golf Club, Scottsdale, Arizona; Old Works, Anaconda, Montana; The Ridge at Castle Pines North, Castle Rock, Colorado; Monarch Beach Golf Links, Dana Point, California; and Cabo del Sol, Los Cabos, Mexico.Scottsdale, Arizona - Troon Golf, the world leader in upscale golf course management, has announced the Black Creek Club, located in Chattanooga, Tennessee, as its most recent addition to its growing portfolio of managed properties.
