TROON GOLF EXPANDS ITS PRESENCE IN DUBAI

Scottsdale, Arizona – Meeting worldwide demand for highly efficient top-level facility management, Troon Golf,® the recognized world leader in luxury golf management, is pleased to announce its most recent contract with Emaar Properties in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Etched in a masterfully landscaped setting and scheduled to open in November 2003, the Desert Course will stand as Ian Baker Finch’s debut as a golf course designer, in association with Nicklaus Design. The Lakes Course at Arabian Ranches is designed by Peter Harradine and will open in March 2004.

Troon Golf has been contracted to oversee the construction of the two golf courses and will be responsible for the grow-in to assure the delivery of Troon Golf’s world renowned playing surfaces and meticulous agronomic standards. In addition, Troon Golf also will oversee the construction of the clubhouses at each of the courses, with Brian Johnson of Goodwin Austin Johnson, the region’s most acclaimed architects.

Located by Emirates Road, the juncture of three main routes into Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Dubai, Arabian Ranches is expected to further illuminate Dubai’s international reputation for innovative economic development. The golf and equestrian community will offer over 4,000 villas of varying size and design to attract members of Dubai’s cosmopolitan expatriate business community, as well as UAE residents.
