TROON GOLF FACILITIES RAISE FUNDS FOR AMERICAN RED CROSS

Scottsdale, Arizona – In response to the tragic devastation endured by this country on September 11, 2001, Troon Golf associates and several facilities reached out to contribute to the American Red Cross Relief Fund. The caring donations from Troon Golf and participating facilities generated over $26,000 in charitable funds.

Troon Golf pulled together in various ways to contribute to the Red Cross to benefit the rescue efforts of the New York City Police and Fire Departments and various other rescue teams and to ensure the safety and well being of the victims and their families following the tragedy. From hosting golf tournaments to donating a percentage of greens fees and matching employee donations at the corporate office, Troon Golf raised a considerable amount of funds for the Red Cross.

A special thanks to the facilities that donated to the American Red Cross Relief Fund: Waikoloa Beach Resort, Waikoloa, Hawaii; Troon North Golf Club, Talking Stick Golf Club and the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, Kierland Golf Club, Scottsdale, Arizona; The Lodge at Ventana Canyon, Tucson, Arizona; Old Works, Anaconda, Montana; Robinson Ranch, Santa Clarita and Shadow Lakes Golf Club, Brentwood, California, The Woodyard at Westbrook Country Club, Savannah, Georgia, and The Creeks at Beechwood, Ft. Worth, Texas as well as many Troon Golf associates.

The thousands of rescue workers and the New York City Police and Fire Department have shown the utmost bravery in their lifesaving efforts in the rescue and recovery of the victims and Troon Golf commends their determination and compassion in a very difficult and exhausting task.
