TROON GOLF LAUNCHES SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY PROGRAM

Scottsdale, Ariz. – Troon Golf,® the leader in upscale golf course management, development and marketing is pleased to announce the launch of its corporate social responsibility program – “Troon Golf Drives H.O.P.E.

Troon Golf Drives H.O.P.E. celebrates the ways Troon’s facilities and associates around the world are involved in charities, environmental initiatives and fundraising events. The four elements that make up the H.O.P.E. acronym serve to bring these actions to light and to share the collective impact Troon Golf facilities and associates have on their communities.

To officially launch Troon Golf Drives H.O.P.E., associates at Troon Golf’s world headquarters in Scottsdale, Ariz. will be participating in a meal packaging event with Stop Hunger Now on April 8, 2011. Volunteers will package 10,000 meals to aid those in crisis situations and feeding programs at schools and orphanages in countries suffering from disastrous circumstances.

The four elements of Troon Golf Drives H.O.P.E. are:

Humanitarian Efforts Worldwide
Troon Golf’s leadership recognizes the global reach of the company and feels a responsibility to use this influence to “drive” others to act. This means providing opportunities for its associates to participate in a variety of activities that help those in need around the world. Troon Golf wishes to lead by example in this area and set industry standards for social responsibility.

Opportunities to Grow the Game
Growing the game means not only spreading the enjoyment that only golf can provide, it also means a more secure and healthy industry that provides jobs and allows people to grow in their careers. Troon Golf recognizes an opportunity to grow the game by creatively introducing it to a diverse range of future golfers. Through several partnerships and initiatives, Troon Golf aims to afford a greater number of people the fortune of experiencing the game of golf and to further strengthen the industry as a result.

Partnerships in our Communities
Troon Golf’s facilities and associates take an active role in partnering with their local charities to raise funds, increase awareness, and mobilize associates to volunteer. These efforts play an important role in helping to cultivate healthier communities that benefit the lives of those who live there.

Environmental Initiatives
Responsible environmental management has been a key component of Troon Golf’s operating philosophy since the company’s inception. In 2008, Troon Golf took an affirmative step toward environmental sensitivity with its own Environmental Management Initiative (EMI). This commitment to a conscious environmental process creates a management platform that conserves and protects the earth’s resources while providing guests a beautiful and healthy environment for the present and for many years to come.

“We are extremely fortunate at Troon Golf to employ so many people who are eager to volunteer and to work in an industry that provides enormous potential to give back,” stated Sandy Simonson, senior vice president, human resources, Troon Golf. “By launching Troon Golf Drives H.O.P.E. we are defining our company’s commitment to better our communities by doing business responsibly and recognizing the efforts and impact made by our corporate offices, facilities, and individual associates.”
