Southern California Troon Golf Properties Make Golf Club Donation To Team Prime Time

Scottsdale, Ariz. - Troon Golf,® the world leader in luxury golf management, development and marketing is pleased to announce its involvement with Team Prime Time, an innovative and comprehensive after-school intervention program for at-risk middle school students from low-income communities in Los Angeles. Four Southern California properties will be donating a total of 160 golf clubs, at least one for each child participating in the program.

Eagle Glen Golf Club, Corona, CA; Monarch Beach Golf Links, Dana Point, CA; Robinson Ranch, Santa Clarita, CA; and the The Westin Mission Hills Resort, Rancho Mirage, CA are the four Troon Golf-managed properties proud to be involved with Team Prime Time. By cleaning out their lost and found bins and their storage rooms, golf pros at each facility found a total of more than 150 clubs - all in great condition and perfect for children either just learning the game or those aspiring to be the next Tiger Woods.

"For many of these kids, Team Prime Time is their only chance to participate in organized sports," states Peter Strauss, Director of Team Prime Time. "We are grateful to Troon Golf for their generous donation."

In addition to a curriculum that focuses on academics, leadership skills, and mentoring, athletics is an integral part of the Team Prime Time program. Beyond improving skills and the understanding of sports, the athletic component enhances self-esteem, builds confidence, teaches teamwork and promotes a healthy lifestyle to each and every student involved. Additionally, current research indicates a direct correlation between athletic participation and positive academic performance.

"I see this as a great opportunity to invest in our community" states Julie Kizzire, area retail manager for Troon Golf in Southern California, "I believe what we do will help to make a positive impact on children in this program."

Headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, Troon Golf manages operations at more than 140 clubs located in 26 states and 11 countries.
