Melds Japanese and American Management Skills into the "Troon Golf Experience"

SCOTTSDALE, AZ - Troon Golf, recognized as the world's leading luxury-brand golf management, development and marketing company, has hired Kazunobu Takita as Senior Vice President, Japan Operations, to direct the activities of Troon Golf's newest office in Tokyo, Japan.

Troon Golf chose Takita for his remarkable executive skills and accomplishments in the hotel industry in both Japan and the United States. He makes the move from his most recent position as Executive Vice President and General Manager of the luxurious Ihilani Resort and Spa in Oahu, Hawaii, which included concurrent responsibilities as Executive Vice President and General Manager of the adjacent Ko Olina Golf Club. Prior to that, Takita served as Vice President, Operations with JAL Hotels Company Ltd., overseeing operations in the United States and Europe, and earlier as Vice President and General Manager of Hotel Nikko in Chicago, Illinois.

"I am impressed by the top-level position Troon Golf holds in the golf industry," said Takita. "I look forward to this new direction in my career and to introducing the company's exceptional service and products to golf enthusiasts in Japan."

Takita holds a degree in English Literature from St. Paul's University in Tokyo and completed special programs at the National University of Singapore. He is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Japan-America Society and serves on the Advisory Board of the School of Travel Industry Management, University of Hawaii.
