Two Upscale Golf Facilities in Phoenix and Las Vegas

SCOTTSDALE, AZ -- Troon Golf, the recognized world leader in upscale golf management, development, and marketing is pleased to announce its recent engagement by the Del Webb Corporation to oversee two of their upscale golf club operations including Anthem Country Club in Las Vegas, Nevada and Anthem Golf & Country Club in Phoenix, Arizona.

The decision to engage Troon Golf represents Del Webb's most recent step to maximize profitability and efficiency while maintaining the best overall golf environment as they evolve their upscale golf operations at their facilities to better align with their clientele. The resources and expertise in golf operations, sales and marketing, customer service standards and agronomic practices that Troon Golf provides aligns with Del Webb's philosophy to provide the ultimate golf experience.

"For over 40 years, golf has been an integral component of the Del Webb community lifestyle," stated Del Webb President Anne Mariucci. "Golf is one of Del Webb's biggest assets and we plan to maximize it and we believe that engaging Troon Golf is the best way to achieve this goal."

Two years ago, Del Webb, now a subsidiary of Pulte Homes, Inc., moved to establish a new corporate focus on the business of golf and improve the profitability of their courses. As a result, the company has substantially upgraded the performance of its golf assets. Under their subsequent management agreement with Troon Golf, these facilities will draw substantially from powerful marketing capabilities specifically targeted to golfers, members, and homebuyers attracted to an upscale lifestyle.

"We are pleased to align Troon Golf with the Del Webb Corporation, to build one of the strongest alliances in the industry," said Troon Golf Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Dana Garmany. "We welcome this opportunity to provide our renowned TROON GOLF EXPERIENCE at facilities at these two remarkable clubs and expect terrific results from our relationship."

Senior PGA Tour standout, Hale Irwin, teamed with the distinguished golf course architect Keith Foster in the design of Anthem Country Club, Las Vegas. In their first collaboration, the Anthem design plays through desert canyons complemented by refreshing waterscapes. The undulating fairways, expansive views from elevated tee boxes, and large green complexes make this course an extraordinary golf experience.

Anthem Golf & Country Club in Phoenix, designed by Greg Nash & Associates, is routed around dry washes and through ravines at the northernmost border of the Sonoran Desert as gradual shifts in elevation accent the flowing sculpted fairways. The prominent feature of the golf course is the enormous double green on the ninth and eighteenth holes - an impressive sight from the clubhouse 25 feet above. Both holes play downhill and promise strong finishes. The second course is under construction and scheduled to open in 2002.

Based in Scottsdale, Arizona, Troon Golf represents over 110 management and development contracts in 21 states and 10 countries. Troon Golf properties include international venues such as The Westin Turnberry Resort, Ayrshire, Scotland; Troon North Golf Club, Scottsdale, Arizona; The Vintage Golf Club, New South Wales, Australia; Eagle Ridge Inn & Resort, Galena, Illinois; Centennial Golf Club, Minneapolis, Minnesota; and Oak Village Golf Club, Chiba, Japan.
