TROON GOLF TO MANAGE THE CLASSIC CLUB

Scottsdale, Ariz. – Troon Golf, the leader in upscale golf course management, development and marketing is pleased to announce its affiliation with and management of The Classic Club in the Coachella Valley of Southern California. In January 2006, The Classic Club will serve as the host of the PGA Tour’s Bob Hope Chrysler Classic, which is being played from the 16 through 22.

This par-72, 7,305 yard Arnold Palmer-designed course will offer a variety of tee options, appealing to players at all levels of the game – from novice players to those on the PGA Tour. The course has a rolling terrain with several elevated tees featuring a core design with pine, olive and pepperwood trees, offset by flowering bushes, shrubs and pine straw ground cover, all playing off of the surrounding mountains and vistas that are exclusive to the Coachella Valley, to make for an incredibly beautiful golf experience.

“The Classic Club is an exceptional facility in a beautiful setting, and we welcome this opportunity to extend the Troon Golf Experience in the Southern California Desert,” stated Tim Schantz, Troon Golf executive vice president business development. “Additionally, we are honored to support the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic and help to contribute to its continued success.”

The H.N. & Francis C Berger Foundation formally gifted The Classic Club to the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic. As owners of the facility, the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic enhances its opportunity to distribute additional funds to the Eisenhower Medical Center and over 40 worthwhile local organizations. The Bob Hope Chrysler Classic has distributed more than $40.5 million to charity since 1960.

“We are very excited to have Troon Golf managing The Classic Club’s operations, and with their background and professionalism, the club will offer exceptional services with experience levels that will compare to the best private club environments in our community,” stated Steve Morton, this year’s president of the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic.

Construction on The Classic Club’s permanent clubhouse, which is a 63,000 sq. ft. building featuring Tuscan style architecture, will be completed in the fall of 2006.
