Now offering the "Troon Golf Experience" with Aloha Style on the Big Island, Hawaii

SCOTTSDALE, AZ - Troon Golf, recognized as the world leader in management, development and marketing of luxury brand golf courses has now expanded into the state of Hawaii. Through an agreement with the Waikoloa Land Company, Troon Golf will manage the two courses at the Waikoloa Beach Resort situated on the Kohala Coast of Hawaii's Big Island…The Golf Capital of Hawaii.

"We are delighted to bring Troon Golf to Hawaii, and look forward to providing the ‘Troon Golf Experience' to the golfers who play at Waikoloa Beach Resort," said Waikoloa Land Company President, Thos Rohr. "It's a pleasure to be a member of the Troon Golf family of courses which include Turnberry, Cabo del Sol, Castle Pines North, Talking Stick, and Innisbrook."

"We are proud to partner with Waikoloa Land Company and greatly appreciate this opportunity to introduce our company to the Hawaiian golf market," said Troon Golf Chairman and CEO, Dana Garmany. "Impeccably maintained golf courses set in luxurious resort settings such as Hawaii's Kohala Coast epitomize the type of golf experience we provide. Waikoloa fits perfectly into our portfolio of great properties."

Troon Golf creates extraordinary experiences at many of the world's finest golf facilities by providing superior agronomy and playing conditions and exceptional customer service. The company's commitment to exacting operations standards makes Troon Golf one of the foremost luxury brands in the golf and hospitality industries.

Built in 1981 by Robert Trent Jones Jr., the Beach course was literally carved from the lava flow along the picturesque Anaeho'omalu Bay. Jones renovated and expanded the Beach course in 1989 to 6,507 yards for a greater golf challenge, adding additional sand bunkers and three lakes. With the Kings' course, Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish clearly "raised the bar" at Waikoloa by boldly interjecting exciting contemporary course features into the venue. Playing 7,064 yards around austere lava outcroppings, the Kings' course features wide undulating fairways, six lakes, deep white sand bunkers, and a varied mix of green complexes that include a Scottish-inspired double green at holes 3 and 6 - a rare feature for layouts on the Islands. The Kings' course also features one of Weiskopf's trademarks - short "driveable" par 4 holes that tempt the big hitters to risk fate off the tee.

The Waikoloa Beach Resort courses operate on a daily fee basis with special consideration for the guests of the Hilton Waikoloa Village, The Outrigger Waikoloa Beach Hotels, and the three resort condominiums on the property.

Based in Scottsdale, Arizona, Troon Golf has over 50 management and development contracts in 11 states and 7 countries. Troon Golf facilities include: Turnberry Hotel Golf Courses & Spa, Ayrshire, Scotland; Troon North Golf Club, Scottsdale, Arizona; Cabo del Sol, Los Cabos, Mexico; The Ridge at Castle Pines North, Castle Rock, Colorado; and Eagle Ridge Inn & Resort, Galena, Illinois.
