TROON GOLF To MANAGE GOLF OPERATIONS For WESTIN SAVANNAH HARBOR RESORT
Troon Golf, America’s recognized leader in luxury brand golf course management, marketing, and development, was recently named to manage the golf operations for The Club at Savannah Harbor, a new private golf club scheduled to open in October 1999, in conjunction with the opening of the Westin Savannah Harbor Resort. Golf and clubhouse privileges will be exclusive to club members and their guests as well as registered guests of the Resort.

Spread out over Hutchinson Island along the Savannah River, and leading to South Carolina’s low country offering views of Savannah’s Historic District, the golf course demonstrates its own sense of history and tradition. In a unique collaboration, the legendary Sam Snead teamed with renowned golf course designer, Robert Cupp, to create an exemplary test of golf at every level of play complemented, of course, by the spirit of Georgia’s traditional southern grace.
Beginning November 1, 1999 through March 3, 2000, “Golf and Spa Sampler” packages are available. They include two nights accommodations at the Westin Savannah Harbor Resort plus a choice of either two rounds of golf or two signature spa services for each person.
Memberships at the Club at Savannah Harbor are being offered for a 30-year term and include flexible resale and transfer rights. In addition, memberships carry no annual fees or monthly minimum spending requirements. Besides golf privileges, memberships also include use of the Resort’s world-renowned Greenbrier Spa, a “members only” dining room surrounded by impressive views of the riverfront and golf course, and use of four Har Tru tennis courts and two swimming pools.
