The Troon Golf Experience Available for the first time in Japan

Scottsdale, Arizona - From its Tokyo offices, Troon Golf is pleased to announce its first full management contract in Japan with the owners of Oak Village Golf Club located in Chiba-prefecture outside Tokyo.

The Tohato Corporation, which is a major Japanese business entity and the owners of Oak Village, invited Troon Golf to manage this popular golf course.

"We are honored to play a roll in the rejuvenation of this remarkable golf facility," said Dana Garmany, Troon Golf Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "The opportunity to meld ‘The Troon Golf Experiencesm' into the Japanese culture promises an exciting new avenue in our quest for global expansion."

Oak Village offers a highly imaginative golf experience with a "storybook English" flavor by none other than Desmond Muirhead. Here, his hallmark style is resplendent in a theme based on King Arthur and Days of Olde. Open since 1994, the 7,093-yard layout features holes with such names as Dragon and The White Cliffs of Dover. However, the undeniable challenge of this innovative course design became evident when Oak Village hosted the Japan LPGA Tour's Tohato Ladies Cup from 1994 to 1997.

"The architect's symbolic design features combined with Troon Golf's trademark maintenance practices and immaculate playing conditions assure a memorable high-level golf experience at Oak Village Golf Club," stated Troon Golf's Kazunobu (Kaz) Takita, Senior Vice President, Japan Operations. "The near proximity to metropolitan Tokyo also adds to this club's popularity."

Based in Scottsdale, Arizona, Troon Golf represents over 80 management and development contracts in 17 American states and nine countries. Troon Golf properties include venues such as Turnberry Hotel, Golf Courses & Spa, A Westin Resort, Ayrshire, Scotland; Troon North Golf Club, Scottsdale, Arizona; Ocean Club, Paradise Island, Bahamas; The Sagamore Club, Indianapolis, Indiana; The Woodyard Golf Course at Westbrook Country Club, Savannah, Georgia; and Cabo del Sol, Los Cabos, Mexico.Scottsdale, Arizona - From its Tokyo offices, Troon Golf is pleased to announce its first full management contract in Japan with the owners of Oak Village Golf Club located in Chiba-prefecture outside Tokyo.
