TROON-MANAGED PROPERTIES AROUND THE WORLD IN MIDST OF HOSTING 5 PROFESSIONAL GOLF EVENTS OVER 4 WEEK

Scottsdale, Ariz. (January 11, 2019) – Troon-managed golf properties around the world are continuing a four-out-of-five-week run of hosting five professional golf events for the PGA TOUR, Ladies European Tour, Web.com Tour and The European Tour. Following last week’s Sentry Tournament of Champions at Kapalua Golf’s Plantation Course in Maui, Hawaii, the Ladies European Tour stops this week at Saadiyat Beach Golf Club in United Arab Emirates (UAE) for the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Open (Jan. 10-12). Next week, the Web.com Tour will play The Bahamas Great Exuma Classic (Jan. 13-16) at Sandals Emerald Bay in the Bahamas, while the  men’s European Tour will stop at Abu Dhabi Golf Club in the UAE for the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship (Jan. 16-19). In two weeks, the European Tour will again tee it up at a Troon-managed property, this time at the Royal Greens Golf & Country Club for the Saudi International (Jan. 31-Feb. 3) in Saudi Arabia.

Kapalua Golf’s Plantation Course hosted the Sentry Tournament of Champions January 3rd through 6th. Xander Schauffele shot an incredible 11-under-par (62) in the final round to finish 23-under, one shot ahead of Gary Woodland.

Saadiyat Beach Golf Club hosts the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Open, a unique 54-hole pro-am format tournament. 2016 tournament champion Beth Allen returns along with one of the highest-quality fields the Gary Player-designed golf course has ever welcomed, including Cheyenne Woods, Aditi Ashok and Charley Hull.

Sandals Emerald Bay will host The Bahamas Great Exuma Classic in the season-opening event on the Web.com Tour. Many of golf’s best up-and-comers will tee it up on the beautiful Greg Norman-designed golf course.

Abu Dhabi Golf Club will host the 14th edition of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship presented by EGA, January 16th – 19th. The famous Falcon Clubhouse will welcome U.S. superstars Brooks Koepka and Dustin Johnson, while defending champion and European Ryder Cup hero Tommy Fleetwood is looking for his third consecutive tournament title.

Royal Greens Golf & Country Club will host the inaugural Saudi International, January 31 through February 3rd. Dustin Johnson, Patrick Reed, Paul Casey and Thomas Bjørn are just a few of golf’s international stars who will play the highly-rated course designed by European Golf Design.
