Team Troon On Tour: Three Top 10 Finishes At PGA Championship For Team Troon

The second major of the year is in the books with the PGA Championship now complete. Congrats to Brooks Koepka who held on for his second PGA Championship in a row (in addition to his back to back US Open wins). His PGA Championship win also punched his ticket to play in the 2020 Sentry Tournament of Champions, on what will be the newly refined Kapalua, Plantation Course at the turn of the new year. Team Troon was also well represented at the second major of 2019. While Justin Thomas had to withdraw due to a nagging wrist injury, all other Team Troon players played into the weekend and finished strong. The highlight was Patrick Cantlay who finished -2 for the tournament in a tie for third place after putting together four consistent rounds of 69-70-68-71. Both Gary Woodland and Matt Kuchar also played well, earning Top 10 finishes (both finished in T8 at +1 for the tournament). Woodland and Kuchar played well on a tough Sunday shooting 68 and 69 respectively. Congrats Patrick and congrats to the entire slate of Team Troon players! Complete Team Troon results are below:

It is also worth noting that three players that qualified for the PGA via the PGA Professional Championship at the Troon Privé managed Belfair, played well and competed with Team Troon players over the weekend: Rob Labritz finished in a tie for 60th, Ryan Vermeer, finished in a tie for 80th and Marty Jertson, finished at 82nd. It was great to see Belfair on Golf Channel hosting this prestigious event and was also great to see three of the those players play well on a big stage.

The PGA Tour moves to Texas with the Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial CC. Matthew Fitzpatrick will be in the field working to get a victory over defending champion Justin Rose. Go Matthew! Go #TeamTroon!
