Team Troon On Tour: Fitzpatrick & Cantlay With Strong Finishes At Abu Dhabi Golf Club

Team Troon was in action in multiple corners of the world this past week. But lets start in the corner of Abu Dhabi and UAE, where our team at Abu Dhabi Golf Club and Troon International did a great job hosting the European Tour’s Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, presented by EGA! Congrats to all on a great event…one that was captured by Lee Westwood (who carded a win in the fourth of four decades). Team Troon ambassador, Matt Fitzpatrick came close, eventually finishing two shots back in second place, and Patrick Cantlay also played well during the week (finishing at -8).

On another continent, Matt Kuchar got the victory at the Singapore Open (in an event which was sanctioned by the Asian Tour and the Japan Golf Tour Organisation). with a four-day total of 266, three ahead of second placed Justin Rose. Another Win by Team Troon in 2020!

On yet another continent, Alex Noren, (coming off his T32 place finish at the Sony Open in Hawaii), finished T14 at -17 that The American Express in La Quinta, CA. Great playing Alex!

Again congrats to everyone at Abu Dhabi Golf Club on a great event! We know the team takes great pride in the event and takes great pride in flying the Troon flag (not only there but throughout the U.A.E and Troon International). The course looked amazing and the event was exceptional!

Speaking of events within our Family of Brands…

Royal Blue Golf Club at Baha Mar (an OB Sports locale…also home to CADDIEMASTER) is hosting the Korn Ferry Tour’s The Bahamas Great Abaco Classic at Baha Mar through Wednesday. Royal Blue stepped in this year for The Abaco Club, which was hit hard by Hurricane Dorian and is in the process of getting its conditions back. The Golf Channel will be showing live coverage every day (through Wednesday). Congratulations to OB Sports’ Director of Golf Sean Cracraft, Head Golf Professional Andy Deiro and their outstanding staff for getting their Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course in championship condition.
