NEW YEAR, NEW LOOK

 

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Here’s hoping everyone enjoyed wonderful holidays with family and friends, and got in a round or three also.

If this issue looks different to you, good eye! We’ve changed our masthead as of this January to simply read: “TROON Golf / Destinations / Pursuits” (formerly “Troon Golf & Travel”). We decided on this change as a result of Troon’s ongoing business expansion into golf-adjacent areas such as accommodations management, a stronger focus on food and beverage, and most recently, tennis.

With the acquisition of Cliff Drysdale Tennis last year, Troon solidified its position as a leader in a field that has long been affiliated with golf — many Troon-managed clubs and resort partners already had tennis facilities — and in many instances shares the same participants. If you’re active in golf, chances are good that you’re also active in tennis.

Hence, our name change. Golf, of course, will remain a primary focus of our editorial product, as it remains the core business of Troon. But as the interests of the Troon client over the years has evolved, so have we. That’s why inside this issue you will find articles on fitness, an exciting stay-and-play tennis destination, an expanded section on fine beverages, as well as our regular columns and features on some of the best golf facilities in the world.

We’re looking forward to the new year and all its many possibilities. Hope you are too.
