WYNDHAM GRAND RIO MAR PUERTO RICO GOLF & BEACH RESORT WINS THREE STELLA AWARDS

Rio Grande, Puerto Rico (December 19, 2019) – Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Puerto Rico Golf & Beach Resort was recently awarded three 2019 Stella Awards in the categories of Best Golf Resort, International and US Territories; Best Food and Beverage, International and US Territories; and Best Hotel/Resort, International and US Territories by Northstar Meetings Group. Troon Golf proudly manages the golf operations at the resort’s Rio Mar Country Club.

The Stella Awards, established by Northstar Meetings Group in 2017, recognize hotels, convention centers, conference centers, airlines, cruise lines, DMO/CVBs and DMCs that consistently deliver quality service and innovation to meeting and events professionals. Honors were awarded in 18 categories celebrating overall excellence, superb food and beverage, professionalism of staff, technology innovations, and other critical aspects of the meetings and event experience. In total, 278 winners and finalists were recognized by Northstar Meetings Group.

Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Puerto Rico Golf & Beach Resort features two distinct course designs – The Ocean Course; a design collaboration between award-winning architects Tom and George Fazio, and The River Course, designed by two-time Major Champion Greg Norman. The Ocean Course plays to a par of 72 and measures 6,782 yards from the back tees and 5,450 yards from the forward tees, while The River Course plays a slightly longer 6,945 yards from the back but a shorter 5,119 yards from the front.
