Palm Beach Gardens, Fl. Mar 24, 2015 – BallenIsles Country Club’s celebrated golf courses where many golf legends originally qualified for the PGA TOUR, have set another national record – the largest donation ever raised by a private club from a one-day charity golf tournament.

The Men’s Golf Association (MGA) at BallenIsles Country Club raised more than $130,000 to help fight prostate cancer when it held its 6th annual golf tournament on Wednesday, March 18 at the Club.

More than three hundred supporters participated in the golf tournament which benefits The Scripps Research Institute in Jupiter.

“We are proud to be able to again support Scripps Florida and its research, aimed at developing better treatments and, ultimately a cure for this disease that strikes 1 out of 6 American men,” said BallenIsles MGA/Prostate Cancer Committee Chair Burt Schwartz.
