California Country Club Head Golf Professional Derrick Williams Is Growing The Game Of Golf

California Country Club team poses with students from Villa Esperanza School

California Country Club Head Golf Professional Derrick Williams recently helped organize and execute a golf clinic with Villa Esperanza School and its students.

Villa Esperanza Services serves intellectually and developmentally disabled individuals in Los Angeles and Ventura counties. Villa is a unique service provider, offering individualized programs and a continuum of care over the course of a lifetime. Our comprehensive programs for children are centralized on a single campus and include the Villa Esperanza School, the Hjelte-Phillips Speech and Language Center, and occupational therapy clinic. Their  personalized programs for adults integrated throughout the community include Employment Services, family-style residential homes, independent living skills coaching, and day programs for adults and seniors. They change lives–from teaching a child with autism how to say “hello;” to giving an adult with Down Syndrome the skills to earn a paycheck and the pride of having a job; to providing an intellectually disabled Senior the opportunity to give back to the community through volunteering and helping others.

During the clinic that Derrick and his team hosted, Villa’s students were able to spend time with coaches to learn more about the game of golf. We celebrate Derrick and his team for putting together a great day for these participants, to offer them a chance to experience the game of golf at one of our facilities. #PlayerDevelopmentMonth
