Deering Bay Yacht & Country Club To Host FSGA Mid-Senior Four-Ball Championship

Deering Bay Yacht & Country Club in Coral Gables, Florida will host the Florida State Golf Association’s Mid-Senior Four-Ball Championship (South) Saturday, September 8th and Sunday, September 9th. Fifty-two teams (104 players) will compete in the 36-hole, four-ball stroke play competition – a four-ball is a two person team where the low score of the two players on each hole is counted (commonly referred to as a best ball).

The Mid-Senior Four-Ball Championship will be played on Deering Bay Yacht & Country Club’s Arnold Palmer-designed, par 71, 6,740-yard golf course located on the southern tip of scenic Coral Gables on the shores of Biscayne Bay. The tournament is open to male members of the Florida State Golf Association who are at least 40 years of age as of the first day of the Championship. Saturday’s first round tee times will go off the 1st and 10th tees between 8 and 10 a.m., while Sunday’s final round will be an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. After Saturday’s first round, the field will be flighted in an effort to give everyone a chance to win a gift certificate on the final day.
