For more than 18 years, the midwest based Green Golf Partners (GGP) carried out the vision to provide long lasting value to communities by creating a fun, family-friendly environment and positive social atmosphere at golf clubs and courses across the United States – one neighborhood, one golf lesson and one putt at a time. Taking pride in being a little bit different, Green Golf Partners looked to bring more focus, more accountability and a more personal touch to the business of golf with a little fun along the way.
From PGA Professionals to Superintendents to Beverage Cart Drivers, Green Golf Partners has mowed, served and putted their way through all aspects of the operation. Building on its long heritage and experience in management and operations, they spent over a decade on focusing efforts on the delivery of world–class management services for an increasingly broad array of third-party clients in a diverse number of national and regional golf markets.
Matt McIntee, original founder of Green Golf Partners, helped grow the firm from nine properties in three states, to 35 properties in 13 states. Prior to forming Green Golf Partners, McIntee was with Crown Golf from 1992 to 2011. His expertise in acquisitions, business development and operations has served many Fortune 500 companies and major developers. Throughout his career, he has worked on committees and spoken at conferences for the National Golf Course Owners Association and the National Golf Foundation. He has often served as a market and industry expert for golf trade journals such as Golf Business and Golf Inc., as well as The Wall Street Journal, Crain’s Chicago Business and the Indianapolis Business Journal. He is also a regular contributor to the Steve Bertrand Show/Wintrust Business Lunch on WGN Radio AM 720.
McIntee was appointed to the role of senior vice president of business development for Troon. In his new role, McIntee is charged with regional growth and client relations. In addition to his work at Troon, McIntee is currently the Finance Chairman on the Board of Directors for Children’s Hope International – an international adoption and children’s aid agency, and is personally dedicated to improving the health and welfare of children in need all over the world.
