Q: When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up and please explain if there was a story around that.
A: Hairdresser, as a little girl I could not leave my family’s hair alone, whether it was brushing it, braiding it or whatever else my mind decided to do with it.
Q: How long have you worked for Troon and what has been your career progression.
A: I have worked for Troon as the Food & Beverage Director for almost three years, and I have just completed the LEADer program. Now there are more opportunities for me to advance within the Troon company.
Q: What do you love most about your job?
A: Working with the customers, it’s always nice to see new faces and talk to them.
Q: Was there a female (or male) mentor that helped guide you along your current path and was there a piece of advice that helped you along your way?
A: My husband, Brian. He has been my confidant and supporter from day one. He has encouraged me and picks me up on bad days and pushes me to step out of my comfort zone to be a better leader.
Q: What do you do in your daily job or life to inspire other women or minorities to get them interested into the golf business as a career?
A: As a woman, I aim to be a visible leader, I choose to lead by example and be a mentor and role model to young professionals.
Q: Who would be at your dream ‘foursome’ for a dinner party?
A: Always my husband Brian, Tiger Woods, and Phil Michelson
Q: What is one interesting fact not many people know about you (that you don’t mind sharing)?
A: I used to live in Latrobe, PA right next to Arnold Palmers golf Course, and did not know anything about golf.
