Moments to Help: Fairwood Members Collect Goggles For Medical Masks

In our Moments to Help series, we continue to share random acts of kindness throughout the World of Troon

Collecting Swim Goggles & Straps For Medical Masks – Members of Fairwood Golf & Country Club in Renton, Washington, recently donated more than three dozen pairs of swim goggles and straps for use in making medical masks. A local Seattle-based company is in the process of printing 3D medical masks and was in need of the elastic straps used on the goggles. An email was sent to Fairwood members by club staff on Sunday afternoon (April 5th) and by Tuesday, April 7th, a full box of goggles and straps was sent off to the company. The medical masks will be used by doctors and nurses at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Fairwood, located 19 miles southeast of downtown Seattle, is home to one of Washington’s top recreational and competitive swim programs.
