Despite starting as head Chef right at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Chef Brendan Vermillion of Fairwood Golf & Country Club found many ways to connect with the clubs members through culinary innovation. One of those innovations, a homemade ice cream cookie sandwich. Its become so popular, the staff has found that members visit the club on a lunch break or before going home, simply to grab one. Chocolate malt milkshake, Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club

This classic dessert was once so popular for golfers coming through Ak-Chin Southern Dunes in Maricopa, AZ  that it once warranted it’s on shack on the course. Though this shack is no longer present, the popularity lives on. This milkshake in particular is no ordinary one and was actually inspired by another that was once distributed at one of the stops on the PGA Tour. The shaking doesn’t stop there, THE WEEK, the team at Southern Dunes is debuting a new milkshake for the 21+ crowd. A Root bourbon float with hard root beer, bourbon cream, salted bourbon caramel and ice cream. SIGN. US. UP!

Pineapple upside down cake, The Plantation House at Kapalua

When traveling to Hawaii, you have to have your pineapple fix. Kapalua has made part of your pineapple consumption a little more unique with this great dessert option. Made with the deliciously sweet Maui gold pineapple grown on the slopes of Haleakala. The sweetness of the pineapple, the buttery flavor of the toasted coconut flakes, the richness of their house made caramel rum sauce. Not to mention, the cooling refreshing flavor of the coconut pineapple ice cream sourced locally from Lapperts and finally garnished with crunchy cinnamon phyllo.
