BRUCE GLASCO NAMED To HEAD TROON GOLF AUSTRALIA

Scottsdale, Arizona -Troon Golf, the world leader in management, development and marketing of upscale golf courses, is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Bruce Glasco to Senior Vice President, Troon Golf Australia.

Glasco makes the move with his family from his previous position as Vice President, Operations, Western United States. Operating from Troon’s Australia headquarters, Glasco will oversee golf operations for the six golf properties presently managed by Troon Golf, including The Golf Club Kennedy Bay in Perth and Pelican Waters Golf Club in Queensland. In addition, he will be responsible for the development and promotion of the Troon Golf brand throughout Australia, New Zealand, and Southern Australasia.

“I am looking forward to this next step in my career with Troon Golf,” says Glasco. “Our goal of expanding the Troon Golf brand globally presents many exciting challenges and I feel very fortunate at having been chosen for this assignment. The potential for continual growth for our company in this part of the world is huge and I’m looking forward to being part of that.”

“Bruce has done a tremendous job keeping up with the exponential growth pace we’ve experienced for the past three years,” said Hud Hinton, Troon Golf President and Chief Operating Officer. “He has a great understanding of the golf management business and Troon Golf can anticipate continued growth in our Australian operations under his leadership.”

Before joining Troon Golf in 1999, the former PGA Golf Professional worked at such prestigious clubs as Pine Valley Golf Club, Pine Valley, New Jersey; Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Club & Lodge, Orlando, Florida; Kapalua, Maui, Hawaii; and Maroon Creek in Aspen, Colorado. He also served three years with the Hines Development Company in Colorado. Glasco earned a Bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University with additional studies at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and is a member of the Urban Land Institute.

“Bruce’s impressive background as one of our North American Regional Vice Presidents, along with his development experience, is certain to stimulate this company’s presence in the southern hemisphere and ensure the highest standards of excellence for Troon Golf Australia,” said Troon Golf Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Dana Garmany. “As our global vision for Troon Golf continues to evolve in Australia’s dynamic golf market, we are fortunate to be able to rely on Bruce’s ability and experience.”

Glasco replaces Paul Stringer, who has held the position for Troon Golf since 1998. Stringer will be returning to Troon Golf’s Scottsdale headquarters to assume the position of Senior Vice President, Acquisition and Development in mid-April. In his new capacity, he will be responsible for helping to continue to grow Troon Golf’s North American presence.
