LAKE OF ISLES GOLF CLUB TO FEATURE THE TROON GOLF BRAND OF EXCELLENCE
Scottsdale, Ariz. – Troon Golf,® the world leader in luxury golf management, development and marketing, is pleased to begin its partnership with the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation to oversee the new and sensational Lake of Isles Golf Club. Located near Mashantucket, Conn., the facility is currently under development and will be an added amenity to the Foxwoods Resort and Casino – the largest casino operation in the world.
Scheduled to open spring 2005, two classic-style courses by the inimitable Rees Jones promise the premier aesthetics and thoughtful challenges that have made his work renown to all golfers. Spread over 900 acres and operating from the 50,000-square-foot clubhouse, one course will serve an exclusive private membership, the other will be available to resort and daily-fee guests. Additional amenities for Lake of Isles include a Golf Academy and eight golf rental villas.

The sensitive and strategic routings of both courses capture the beauty and the challenge of the 900-acre Lake of Isles. The tribal translation of Mashantucket, “much wooded land,” lends a clue to the beautiful isolated setting. Combined with Troon Golf’s consistently superior playing conditions, Lake of Isles Golf Club will serve as the dazzling new centerpiece to this distinguished resort.
