NEW ACQUISITIONS PROMPT TROON GOLF PROMOTIONS And “TROOP MOVEMENT”

SCOTTSDALE, AZ – A recent flurry of contracts with golf course owners and development companies throughout the United States, Mexico, and the Bahamas prompted an unusual string of promotions and reassignments within the ranks of Troon Golf, the world’s leading luxury golf management, development, and marketing company.

The following promotions and appointments of key club management personnel ensure the experience and consistency that drives Troon Golf’s renowned high standards for product and service.

Now enjoying a commanding presence on Hawaii’s Big Island, Troon Golf promoted Dave Schneider to General Manager for the company’s latest facility, the world-renowned 36-hole Waikoloa Beach Resort.

Ray Metz moves from his position at Maderas Golf Club in San Diego to assume the General Manager’s duties at the newly acquired Cabo del Sol in Los Cabos, Mexico.

Ken Halligan accepted the General Manager position at Maderas Golf Club, moving to San Diego from The Westin La Paloma, Tucson, Arizona. Halligan will also serve as Area Managing Director for all Troon Golf properties in California and Mexico.

At Troon Golf facilities in Scottsdale, Arizona, Scott Heideman, General Manager of Talking Stick Golf Club was promoted to Arizona Area Managing Director effective June 5th. D.J. Flanders, the former Head Golf Professional at Troon Golf’s La Cantera Golf Club in San Antonio, Texas, accepted the position as General Manager at Kierland Golf Club, effective June 5th. Rob Riddle, former Head Golf Professional at Windrose Golf Club in Spring, Texas, makes a similar move to Legend Trail Golf Club as the new General Manager.

Dale Balvin is moving from his position as General Manager at Kierland Golf Club to the position of Director, Golf Operations at the prestigious Eagle Ridge Inn & Resort in Galena, Illinois. Wes Marshall, formerly at Eagle Ridge, fills the vacant General Manager’s chair at Tidewater Golf Club & Plantation, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Jay Overton, leaves his position as Florida Area Managing Director and Director, Golf Operations at The Westin Innisbrook Resort to pursue a playing career on the Senior PGA Tour. Replacing Jay is Chuck Eade, former General Manager at Tidewater Golf Club.

Tom Cortabitarde will serve as Director, Golf Operations and Scott Brinkerhoff as Superintendent for the Ocean Club, a new acquisition on Paradise Island, Bahamas.
