SUNNYSIDE GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB WELCOMES NEW GENERAL MANAGER
Waterloo, Iowa (March 24, 2023) – Sunnyside Golf & Country Club in Waterloo, Iowa recently welcomed Seth Henrich as the club’s new general manager. Henrich will oversee golf operations, food & beverage, agronomy, maintenance operations as well as sales and marketing for the private club.
A 20-year veteran of the club and hospitality industries, Henrich comes to Sunnyside Golf & Country Club from the Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Golf & Beach Resort in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico where he oversaw club operations. Henrich began his career in the golf industry working as an assistant golf professional at Finkbine Golf Course in Iowa City, Iowa. Since then, he has led the operations at several high-profile clubs, including Dorado Beach Resort & Club in Dorado, Puerto Rico, where he began as the assistant golf professional before working his way up to head golf professional. Following Dorado, Henrich served the director of golf at Our Lucaya Beach & Golf Resort in Freeport, Grand Bahama Island, Bahamas. After his time in The Bahamas, Henrich returned to Puerto Rico, where he served as director of country club operations at Waldorf-Astoria El Conquistador Resort in Fajardo. In 2019, Henrich moved to Florida, where he worked as the director of golf and assistant general manager at the World Golf Village in St. Augustine.
Henrich was born and raised in Newell, Iowa, and attended the University of Iowa, graduating with a degree in Sport Management. In addition, he also attended Mississippi State University where he graduated with a Professional Golf Management degree. He is a member of both the Club Managers Association of America and PGA of America (since 1999). Henrich returns to Iowa with his wife, Paola, and his two youngest boys, Hayden and Harley, while his oldest son, Hogan, serves in the United States Army.
