THE ALLEGRIA GOLF CLUB OPENS IN SODIC’S ALLEGRIA DEVELOPMENT

Scottsdale, Ariz. – Troon Golf,® the leader in upscale golf course management, development and marketing is pleased to announce the opening of The Allegria golf course, developed by SODIC, Egypt’s leading real estate developers.

Located in the acclaimed Allegria development just outside of Cairo, the all new championship course designed by world renowned golfer Greg Norman officially opened for play on July 1. The luxurious development of Allegria, which is comprised of both residential and commercial amenities, is set among acres of pristine parkland with family very much at the heart of the development ethos.

“The opening of The Allegria Golf Club comes with much anticipation,” said Mark Chapleski, area managing director, Troon Golf Middle East. “The ownership group at SODIC are developing a golf community that will appeal to both the domestic and international markets. The importance placed on quality of condition and service will see The Allegria establish the benchmark for world-class golf developments in Egypt and highlight the opportunities that exist for growth in this region.”

Home to beautifully manicured fairways and immaculate putting surfaces, the 7,217-yard par 72 course features streams, rock features, vegetation and undulating scenery. Norman and his design team have introduced innovative methods to utilize the greatest number of trees on the site rather than eliminate them, and the course is designed to be a natural extension of the overall community. Although a demanding proposition from the championship tees, the 18-hole course has been designed with a number of different teeing options that make the course enjoyable for golfers of all abilities.

“We are extremely happy to open this much awaited course,” stated Maher Maksoud, CEO of SODIC. “At SODIC we take pride in providing our residents and guests from around the world a leisure experience that is of the highest standard. Allegria is truly set to be a new living and leisure experience for its residents and guests alike.”

Representing an interesting alternative to more established golf resorts across the globe, the surrounding development to The Allegria Golf Club has already caught the attention of investors and prospective holiday makers. Receiving the prestigious CNBC Arabian property award for the third time in its selected category, the Allegria development is clearly earmarked as something very special. The spectacular and unique sights at the facility also provide a perfect setting to the developments all encompassing amenities which include villas, townhouses, a temporary clubhouse, state-of-the-art golf academy and driving range.
