THE FOUNTAINGROVE CLUB WELCOMES NEW GENERAL MANAGER
Santa Rosa, Calif. (July 22, 2020) – The Fountaingrove Club in Santa Rosa, Calif. is pleased to welcome Russ Bond as the club’s new general manager. As general manager, Bond will lead all elements of the member-owned club from golf operations, agronomy, and sales/marketing to food & beverage and athletic/fitness club operations.
A strong leader with a keen eye for detail, Bond is a 30-plus year club and hospitality industry veteran, having worked for Marriott International for nearly four decades. Prior to his arrival at The Fountaingrove Club, Bond was the general manager at the JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass Resort & Spa in Tucson, Ariz. Throughout his career Bond has led operations at many fine clubs and resorts, including the Renaissance Vinoy Resort and Golf Club in St. Petersburg, Fla., where he managed all aspects of the property’s private club with more than 1,000 member families. Bond’s experience managing first-class club fitness and food and beverage operations will be a benefit to members at the growing club.

From 1989-1995, Bond and his family lived in nearby Novato, Calif. while he served on the executive committee at the Stanford Court Hotel.

Located in the hills northeast of Santa Rosa, The Fountaingrove Club continues to experience a revitalization following the Tubbs Fire of October 2017, which destroyed 5,643 structures in Santa Rosa including Fountaingrove’s clubhouse and maintenance facility. The Fountaingrove Club features a beautiful Ted Robinson Sr.-designed golf course that boasts spectacular views of the Hood and Taylor Mountains as well as the rolling hills of Santa Rosa Valley. The golf course was spared from the Tubbs Fire and has remained fully operational, hosting member play and numerous tournaments. The Club’s Athletic Center complex features five tennis courts and a 25-yard infinity swimming pool. Members also enjoy an impressive array of fitness opportunities including martial arts, yoga, aquatics, personal training, spin and strength training.
