TIM SCHANTZ NAMED EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT, ACQUISITION AND DEVELOPMENT

Scottsdale, Arizona – Continuing to call upon its own ranks to maintain industry prominence as the world leader in upscale golf course management, development and marketing, Troon Golf has announced the promotion of Tim Schantz to Executive Vice President, Acquisition and Development.

Since joining Troon Golf in 1998, Schantz has served as the company’s Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Administration. In that capacity his responsibilities included supervision of the company’s legal and human resource departments, as well as assisting with other corporate operations. In his new position, Schantz will oversee Troon Golf’s Acquisition and Development Department.

With a law degree from the University of Kansas, Schantz has over 11 years’ experience specializing in corporate and real estate transactional matters. Prior to joining the company, Schantz spent five years in the California offices of the national law firm Latham & Watkins, followed by 2-1/2 years as Vice President, Senior Corporate Counsel for the Phoenix-based lodging company, Doubletree Corporation.
