TROON GOLF 2001 BRINGS NEW JUNIORS TO GOLF

Scottsdale, Arizona – This year, forty-two junior golfers from the greater-Phoenix area participated in the Troon Golf 2001 Junior Golf Camp, held at Talking Stick Golf Club this past July 11-13. The camp raised $2,800 for the Phoenix Children’s Hospital.

Through the sponsorship of Troon Golf, the world leader in luxury brand golf management, development, and marketing, twenty underprivileged children were able to attend the three days of supervised instruction by the Troon Golf Institute® teaching squadron, and will enjoy three additional clinics and on-course play days at select facilities; Whirlwind, Kierland, and Legend Trail Golf Clubs.

“We commend these youngsters for being so well behaved and open to learning, considering they were out in the summer heat,” said Mark Richeson of Troon North Golf Club and coordinator for the camp. “We are counting on their interest and enthusiasm to keep the game alive for years to come. We certainly hope their recent “Troon Golf Experience” in our junior golf camp helps them achieve a lifelong association with golf.”

According to Richeson, the positive feedback from parents and participants suggests that Troon Golf will continue the program and consider expanding the camp next year. For more information, call Mark Richeson at Troon North Golf Club in Scottsdale at 480-585-5300.
