TROON GOLF ANNOUNCES NEW MARKETING RELATIONSHIP WITH THE UNITED STATES GOLF ASSOCIATION

Scottsdale, Ariz. – Troon Golf,® one of the leaders in upscale golf course management, development and marketing is pleased to announce its newest marketing relationship with the United States Golf Association (USGA). The agreement will provide USGA members distinct benefits at Troon Golf-managed facilities and will help grow the game through strategic marketing initiatives.

“We are extremely pleased to develop this relationship with the USGA, which will extend special benefits to USGA Members at many of our world-class golf courses,” stated Tim Greenwell, senior vice president, sales and marketing, Troon Golf.

Founded in 1975 with the purpose of providing a direct link to individual golfers, the current USGA Members Program has grown to more than 1.2 million golfers. The program has had only one chairman since its inception, the universally popular Arnold Palmer. Benefits of being a Member, for as little as $15, include a copy of the Rules of Golf, a U.S. Open hat and a personalized bag tag. The USGA is the national governing body of golf in this country and Mexico, a combined territory that includes more than half the world’s golfers and golf courses.

“We’re excited to offer additional benefits to our USGA Members,” said Fiona Dolan, director of the USGA Members Program. “Our Members are passionate golfers who play more than 30 rounds a year on average, so this new relationship with Troon Golf will be a great benefit to them.”
