TROON GOLF CELEBRATES 2004 GROWTH WITH NEW APPOINTMENTS

Scottsdale, Ariz. – Troon Golf® continues to seek qualified leaders and build the most capable teams to deliver the TROON GOLF EXPERIENCE for clients, members, and guests. Drawing from its own ranks, the world leader in luxury golf management, development, and marketing, is pleased to announce its recent appointments and promotions.

Troon Golf Corporate welcomes Barrett Eiselman as Vice President, Operations. With a background devoted exclusively to private club operations, Eisleman applies his expertise to help strengthen the Privé, Private Clubs of Distinction, brand. He joined Troon Golf in 2001 as General Manager of Anthem Country Club in Las Vegas, which earned the Troon Golf “Facility of the Year” Award in 2002 under his direction. Prior to that he served as General Manager of The University Club in San Diego, California, and executed a similar role at Dove Canyon Country Club in Orange County, California.

“We are very excited to have Barrett on our corporate team,” stated John Easterbrook, Troon Golf Executive Vice President, Operations. “He is an accomplished professional and has clearly demonstrated his experience and capability as a leader in this specialized area of our company.”

Troon Golf also appointed new General Managers at five facilities nationwide. They are:

Dale Balvin at Legend Trail Golf Club, Scottsdale, Ariz. — A Troon Golf veteran, Balvin joined Troon Golf in 1995 and previously served as Facility Manager at Kierland and Legend Trail Golf Clubs in Scottsdale, Ariz. He returns to Arizona as General Manager at Legend Trail from Eagle Ridge Inn & Resort in Galena, Ill.

John Brown at Haig Point, Daufuskie Island, S.C. — Brown will apply his 22 years of comprehensive club management at this beautifully secluded private community on Daufuskie Island, South Carolina. He moves from his previous position with Lake Winnepesaukee Golf Club in New Durham, N.H. During his long and highly awarded golf career, Brown has owned and operated two golf clubs.

Lewis Rissman at Hillcrest Golf Club, Hollywood, Fla. — Having earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Concordia, Rissman’s interest in golf led him to several positions with clubs internationally. He moves to Troon Golf as General Manager from his most recent position with the Riviera Golf and Country Club, a highly successful 45-hole facility in the Philippines.

Steve Shields at the Traditions Club at Texas A&M, Bryan, Texas — Shields makes the move from Haig Point in South Carolina, where he also served as General Manager. Prior to relocating to South Carolina, Steve was General Manager at Branson Creek Golf Club in Branson, Mo.

Claire Varney at Entrada at Snow Canyon Golf Club, St. George, Utah — Varney joined Troon Golf in 1999 as the company assumed management of Anthem Golf & Country Club in Las Vegas. She moves to Entrada as the new General Manager and brings an extensive background in accounting and finance to her new position.
