TROON GOLF EUROPE, MIDDLE EAST & AFRICA DIVISION ANNOUNCES STRATEGIC APPOINTMENTS

Scottsdale, AZ. – Troon Golf,® the leader in upscale golf course management, development and marketing is pleased to announce several key appointments that further meet and sustain the demand for its market-leading services in Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA).

Jon Schauder assumes the role of director of business development for Troon Golf EMEA. Jon holds an impeccable reputation in the industry with experience managing operations at some of golf’s most significant and decorated resorts. Jon will now spearhead Troon Golf’s expansion into both new and existing golf regions. Jon’s significant knowledge will help prospective clients fully appreciate the real benefits of Troon Golf’s services in operating a successful, high-end golf course.

Francois Monnet has been appointed Troon Golf EMEA’s finance director. Francois has 15 years of experience within the financial departments of large scale, multinational and privately owned businesses. Francois obtained his Public Accountant (CPA) title in the United States and will play a key role in facilitating the continued progress of Troon Golf.

Scott McCaw has been appointed director of golf at Abu Dhabi Golf Club. Scott brings 15 years of experience in golf operations to one of the most established courses in the Troon Golf EMEA portfolio. Scott was previously general manager of Palmeral Golf Saidia, a Troon Golf-managed facility in Morocco. Scott also spent three years in Bahrain, working in golf operations and as a teaching professional. Scott’s dedication and experience working in the Middle East will bring an extra dimension to the services offered at the Abu Dhabi Golf Club.

Moustafa Elrefaey has been appointed as executive chef at The Allegria Golf Club in Egypt. Following a career in both the United States and Cairo, Moustafa became an accredited university culinary instructor in Michigan for two years and has perfected his skills in an extensive assortment of cuisine. Awarded the “American Chef Federation” and “Michigan Chef De Cuisine,” Moustafa brings an extensive skill set to The Allegria in creating a sought after dining option.

Mohamed Rabei is another valuable addition to the culinary team at The Allegria Golf Club. Mohamed was recently awarded the “Gold Medal” at the auspicious International Gastronomy Competition following his nomination by the Egyptian Culinary Federation. His recent success has also secured him a place in the Culinary Olympics later this year in Germany.
