TROON GOLF HIRES MIKE RYAN As VICE PRESIDENT, OPERATIONS

Scottsdale, Arizona – Troon Golf, the world’s leading upscale golf course management, development, and marketing company, is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Mr. Mike Ryan as Vice President, Operations. Ryan will join Mitch Harrell and recently appointed Jim Bellington in the role and will report to John W. Easterbrook, Jr., Executive Vice President, Operations.

Ryan’s appointment as the company’s third Vice President, North American Operations, is representative of the rapid growth Troon Golf has enjoyed since its inception in 1990. Ryan will be responsible for managing and developing the golf operations of Troon Golf properties in the Midwest and Eastern United States, as well as the Caribbean.

Ryan, a veteran PGA golf professional, moves to his new position from a 14-year tenure with the Marriott Corporation, where he most recently served as an Area Director for Marriott while based at Camelback Golf Club, in Scottsdale, Arizona. Ryan was responsible for overseeing several southwestern golf properties.

“I am very excited to join Troon Golf. I have watched this company grow and become a dynamic leader in the golf industry and I am extremely honored for this opportunity,” said Ryan. “I am fortunate to make a move from one superior organization to another and I am sure my work with Troon Golf will prove to be an exciting new chapter in my career.”

“Troon Golf is fortunate to have an individual with Mike’s experience on our team. His knowledge of golf club operations is key to continue providing our properties with the superior service customary to being a Troon Golf property,” said John Easterbrook. “With Troon Golf experiencing rapid growth, gaining Mike’s expertise, will allow this company to continue to be the industry leader in golf course management.”

Ryan attended the University of West Florida on a golf scholarship, and later graduated with a degree in Business Management. After college, Ryan’s career in the golf industry began with the Marriott Corporation where he was an Assistant Golf Professional at the Grand Hotel Marriott Resort & Golf Club in Point Clear, Alabama. Eventually Ryan became Director of Golf at Marco Island Marriott Resort & Golf Club, in Marco Island, Florida, before moving to Arizona in 1995 as Director of Golf for Kierland Golf Club in Scottsdale (now a Troon Golf facility).

“We are honored to welcome Mike on board and Troon Golf is grateful for the talent and experience he brings to this position,” said Troon Golf President and Chief Operating Officer, Hud Hinton. “Mike is accustomed to our philosophy and high standards and will contribute significantly to the experiences to be enjoyed at every Troon Golf facility.”
