TROON GOLF PROMOTES JIM MCLAUGHLIN TO SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, PRIVÉ

Scottsdale, Ariz. – Troon Golf,® the leader in upscale golf course management, development and marketing is pleased to announce that Jim McLaughlin has been promoted from vice president, operations, to senior vice president, Privé. Privé is Troon Golf’s private club operating division and includes facilities that are among the most prestigious private clubs in the world. McLaughlin, a 30-year veteran in the industry, has been with Troon Golf for two years and will use his extensive knowledge of private club operations to oversee the Privé division.

McLaughlin began his career as an assistant professional at the prestigious Shaughnessy Golf Club in Vancouver, British Columbia. With his father, the club’s esteemed head professional serving as his mentor; this “apprenticeship” gave him a solid foundation upon which to build a highly successful career in the golf industry. He later began his work with Intrawest Golf in 1998 as an outside consultant, heading up McLaughlin Golf, Inc. In 2004 McLaughlin was named senior vice president, directly responsible for day-to-day operations within the company’s 34-course North American portfolio. Prior to his work with Intrawest, McLaughlin served as vice president at Wesbild Holding Ltd., managing the development of Westwood Plateau, a residential community consisting of 4,500 luxury homes, an 18-hole golf course, academy and award-winning clubhouse.

In addition to Shaughnessey Golf Club, McLaughlin held professional positions at East Sussex National Golf Club in East Sussex, England, University Golf Club in Vancouver, British Columbia, and Henderson Lake Golf Club in Lethbridge, Alberta.
